While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its doors was disturbing and far below any standard .

The surfaces were tacky , and a pungent odor of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms permeated the entire venue . Reeking of a mixture of excrement , old age and illness . The main bar, which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The bathroom was in even more deplorable shape — spilling over , with a cracked flush mechanism and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human waste .
It wasn’t just a rare instance either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a persistent problem . Many patrons have reported witnessing insects darting across the counter and signs of rats in the bar and house area . For a business that offers beverages , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the quality of their offerings.
